The Centre at VitaZen has certified yoga teachers leading classes. Completing a yoga teacher training is a great accomplishment, and we are very happy to call them family. Some of our yoga teachers also work in our retail supplement store.

Glenda and Brett share a home, a business, adult children, a grandchild and the love of their rescue Chihuahuas. They have dedicated their lives to helping people be happy and healthy.

Glenda Wynne

Glenda is a registered Nurse with a degree in Mental Health and has worked with the ageing population most of her career. She has been teaching yoga since 2013 and is an ERYT 500/YACEP with the Yoga Alliance. Glenda also is the lead trainer of The Centre at VitaZen Yoga Teacher Training and has graduated many excellent yoga teachers. She leads retreats, workshops and destination yoga vacations. Glenda is the founder of “Ageless Yogis” a class designed to help us all grow older with strength and flexibility not only for our bodies but minds as well. Glenda teaches a style of yoga that weaves her medical, mental health and yoga philosophy experience into each class. She teaches weekly classes in the studio and on Zoom.

Brett Keister

Brett completed Yoga teacher training in 2017 and has expanded his education and experience to become an ERYT 200/YACEP with the Yoga Alliance. Brett co-leads workshop, trainings, retreats and classes at The Centre as well as having his own classes on the schedule each week. Brett’s teaching style is about having fun, listening to good music and meeting the students where they are in the practice.

Ann Waters

Ann is a long-time teacher at The Centre. She has been teaching since the studio opened in 2009. Ann is a RYT 200 with the Yoga Alliance. Ann works in the retail store. She is also a dancer who has been involved with dance since childhood and continues to participate in dance classes and recitals. Ann’s Yoga style is to bring a bit of flair to the practice with her sense of flow and creativity.

Cheran Williams

Cheran is a native of our area having deep family roots that go back to the early settlers. Cheran moved to Florida for a while where she became a certified Yoga teacher and returned to join the VitaZen family. She works full time in the retail store and teaches scheduled classes in the studio. Cheran loves animals, especially her ‘Kitties’. Cheran loves to teach her Yoga students about the traditional styles of Hatha Yoga.

Marge Weismantel

Marge came to The Centre at VitaZen as a student and her love of the practice urged her to complete a Yoga teacher training with The Centre and become a teacher in the studio. Marge currently is a RYT 200 with the Yoga Alliance. Previously, Marge was a high school teacher and she continues to exercise her creative side by planning and organizing meaningful yoga classes. Marge has a style of teaching that also helps the students explore their creative side. Originally from a large city Marge and her husband enjoy the quiet ease of small-town living.

Lisa Faist

Lisa is a retired nurse practitioner with an incredible amount of knowledge of the human body. Lisa completed The Centre at VitaZen yoga teacher training and currently holds a RYT 200 with the Yoga Alliance. She is continuing her yoga education currently with the Himalayan Institute to complete her 500 hours. Lisa is Memaw to 3 grandchildren, and although she doesn’t ride horses, she gives service to the horse rescue and therapeutic riding with the disabled. Lisa brings a unique style of yoga that is health centered and focused on longevity.

Kathryn Gardner

In a former life Kathryn was an Opera singer and music teacher. Kathryn started as a student of the yoga practice and after many years of practice became a yoga teacher. She completed The Centre at VitaZen yoga teacher training and currently is a RYT 200 with the Yoga Alliance. Kathryn and her husband Steve have three children and 5 grandchildren, they love to travel. The best part of all is that she teaches classes at The Centre and brings her gentle calming style to her students each week.

Elizabeth Doucette

Elizabeth completed her yoga teacher training at The Centre at VitaZen and is currently a RYT 200 with the Yoga Alliance and a full-time Therapeutic Massage Therapist. Elizabeth’s knowledge of the mind body connection brings her to lead classes that help the students to be strong and flexible. She loves the outdoors and spends her free time sailing and hiking the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Linda Aron

Linda has been a teacher at The Centre for years. Her training was based in the Ashtanga tradition, and she has a great way of “bringing it” to the students. Linda is a RYT 200 with the Yoga Alliance and over the past few years has discovered Yin yoga as a deep personal and spiritual practice. Linda loves to share her knowledge of yoga with her students.

Leslie Stipcak

As a former elementary school educator Leslie is a perfect fit for teaching yoga. Due to her own experiences with personal health issues she received her health coaching certification through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Leslie has been a long time yoga student and received her 200hr RYT as a graduate of The Centre at VitaZen yoga teacher training. She brings confidence and balance to each student through her love of sequencing classes.

Jeannie Donahue

Jeannie is a long-time student of yoga. She has a background in fitness and has taught aerobic classes, been a personal trainer and a past competitive bodybuilder. Jeannie knows the importance of keeping the body fit and flexible. As a part-time resident of Smith Mountain Lake, her journey led her to The Centre at VitaZen as a student and then yoga teacher training. Currently Jeannie is a 200hr Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance. She has a goal to bring happiness, confidence, mindfulness and strength to her students.
